WHAT ARE SKIN BOOSTERS?

Skin boosters are injectables that improve skin texture, elasticity, hydration and overall appearance. 

There are many different types of skin boosters available that all work in different ways and for different areas. For example your typical Skin Booster is hyaluronic based and is intended to be used on the face and sometimes neck and hands. Whereas Polynucleotides are used just under the eyes to improve dark, and unfavourable under eyes.

HOW DOES IT WORK? 

The Skin Booster treatment involves injecting this hyaluronic product which is a soft, gel-like substance under the skin, which improves the skin's elasticity, firmness and radiance giving an overall glow and improvement to the skins appearance.

Skin Boosters increase the levels of hydration in the skin and stimulate the production of collagen, improving small fine lines and wrinkles, producing firmer, plumper and healthier looking skin.

AFTERCARE

Avoid active cosmeceutical products (AHAs, retinols, vitamin C) on the night of treatment and oil-based makeup for 24 hours.

You can lightly cleanse on the day of treatment using light pressure.

Avoid touching the face on the day of treatment to avoid infection.

Avoid facials, waxing, chemical peels, skin needling, microdermabrasion, IPL or laser treatments for 2 weeks after treatment.

Avoid alcohol for 24 hours after treatment 

DOWNTIME 

There is no downtime required for this quick treatment. Following skin boosters you may experience minor swelling and bumps. This will subside within 48 hours. Use ARNICA before and after your treatment to minimise swelling
